13ft Real Christmas Trees
Free UK delivery on the date you choose. British grown, cut to order. Buy the tree on its own, or let us install and decorate it if you would rather not.
A 13ft Christmas tree is the largest tree we deliver as a standard order. Above this, it goes through our installation service.
It needs a room with serious height: a double-height hall, a barn conversion, a church, an atrium, a hotel foyer or a shop floor.
Nordmann Fir only at this size
At 13ft we supply the Nordmann Fir. Our Norway Spruce tops out at 12ft.
It is the right tree anyway. At this height you want strong, tiered branches that hold heavy decorations without bowing, and needles that stay on the tree for weeks in a heated building. The Nordmann does both. Watered, a 13ft Nordmann holds four to five weeks.
What it needs
A ceiling of at least 14ft. Measure the exact spot and allow a foot for the stand and the topper.
Around 8ft 6in of clear floor at the base, on every side.
A heavy-duty stand with proper ballast, and enough hands to raise it. A 13ft trunk will not fit a domestic stand, and a tree of this weight going over is a serious matter.
Around 1,300 lights, on the rule of 100 per foot. Work them from the trunk outwards so the tree has depth rather than an outline.
Putting it up
Carry it in netted. Get it upright in the stand with people holding it steady, then cut the netting from the bottom up, in the room where it is staying.
Leave it several hours before decorating so the branches settle. Use a proper ladder and take your time.
If you would rather not do it yourself
Our installation service delivers the tree, installs it with the correct stand and ballast, decorates it in any scheme you want including lighting in any colour and a lit star, and then dismantles, removes and recycles it in January.
It starts from around £500 and scales with the site and the height. It is optional, and a 13ft tree can be put up without it.
Bigger than 13ft
We supply trees up to 60ft through the installation service.
Trees over 20ft need machinery to lift and often a steel frame to hold them. At that scale it is a logistics operation and we handle it end to end. Get in touch for a quote.
Care
Saw an inch off the trunk before it goes into the stand. A sealed trunk cannot take up water, and sap seals the cut end within hours of harvest.
Check the water every day. A tree this size drinks hard, and a dry reservoir means the trunk seals for good.
Keep it clear of heaters and direct heat. More in our guide to keeping your tree fresh.
