Nordmann Fir
The Nordmann Fir is the UK’s most popular Christmas tree, known as the ‘non-drop Christmas tree’ for its excellent ability to hold its needles throughout the festive period. Its large but soft needles make it ideal for households with young children or pets, and strong branches are suitable for hanging heavy ornaments or baubles.

Appearance
The Nordmann fir is a conical tree, with strong bushy branches that grow in tiers and become progressively shorter towards the top, which gives it its beautifully symmetrical shape. The rich green firs are pruned twice a year to ensure they look their best.
History
The Nordmann fir, known as Abies nordmanniana or the Caucasian fir, was discovered in 1838 in Caucasus, a mountain range near southwest Russia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, by a Finnnish botanist called Alexander von Nordmann.
Size
The proud Nordmann is a slow-growing tree, taking ten years to reach 6ft tall. The most popular sizes vary from 5ft to 8ft, but we can provide a fir up to 20ft on request.
Scent and Needles
The needs of the Nordmann are shining and soft to touch, which makes it the ideal option for households with pets and small children. The fir is almost scentless, which is perfect for the more sensitive households.
Care
The Nordmann is the longest lasting tree, making it ideal for the families who like to put their decorations up early. Water it well and position your tree away from heat sources like radiators.
