 If you want to see Christmas lights in London then you’re going to be almost spoilt for choice. There are several areas you can visit in London, here are some our favourites.

Carnaby Street

You can find Carnaby Street tucked away between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly. It has become one of the most popular and picturesque streets when it comes to Christmas lights in London.

In previous years the lights have been illuminated in late October, much earlier than many other places in London or indeed the UK, so they can be enjoyed by everyone for longer.

Regent Street

Regent Street boasts some of the grandest Christmas lights on display in London, featuring some 300,000 LED lights. In recent years the theme has been ‘Spirit of Christmas’ and the lights depict magnificent angels all along the street.

The switch-on typically takes place in mid-November, and the street is pedestrianised for the event.

Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens Christmas lights feature a stunning trail with views over the botanic gardens, illuminated with over a million lights.

The route is over 1.5 miles and you’ll want to allow over an hour to take in the magnificent display. Kew Gardens is a paid for ticketed light trial, so you’ll want to make sure you book it in advance.
